We wanted to share an important update regarding Boris FX products and HitFilm.
Starting April 1, 2025, Boris FX plugins will no longer be supported in HitFilm. This wasn’t an easy decision, and we understand it may affect some of our users who’ve built their workflows around this integration.
We’ve truly enjoyed supporting the HitFilm community over the years. Your creativity and the amazing work you've produced using our tools have inspired us. That said, as HitFilm evolves and we continue to focus on the platforms most used by our customers, we've decided to streamline our efforts and shift our resources accordingly.
What this means:
- Existing Boris FX plugins may no longer work reliably with newer versions of HitFilm.
- We will no longer offer updates or technical support for HitFilm-specific issues.
- We recommend exploring other supported hosts, such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, and others listed on our [host compatibility page].
We’re here for you
If you’re using Boris FX with HitFilm and have questions about transitioning to a new platform or adjusting your workflow, our support and sales teams are happy to help. Just reach out—we’ve got your back.
Thank you for being such an essential part of the Boris FX community. We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to supporting your creative journey in new ways.
Warm regards,
The Boris FX Team
