There is no way to create a new library from within Particle Illusion, so you create a “new” library by copying an existing library like “Custom.il3” in the UserEmitterLibraries folder, then renaming it (all outside of Particle Illusion). Then launch Particle Illusion for the new library to show up – emitters/scenes can then be added and/or removed.

- Mac: /Library/Application Support/BorisFX/UserEmitterLibraries
- Windows: C:\ProgramData\BorisFX\UserEmitterLibraries
