Optics standalone does not support loading Photoshop PSD files. PSD files cannot be opened directly in the Optics standalone application.
Supported file formats in Optics standalone
Optics standalone supports the following image formats:
JPG
PNG
RAW
TIFF
These formats can be used for image editing and applying Optics filters and effects.

Optics workflows that require PSD files should use a supported format.
This means:
PSD files should be exported or converted to a supported format (such as TIFF or PNG) before opening in Optics standalone
Alternatively, PSD files can be used directly within Photoshop when using the Optics plug-in
