When you purchase Samplitude or Music Studio, your license now includes two activations.
This means you can install and activate the software on two computers at the same time- for example, your desktop workstation and your laptop.
Who can use these activations?
The license is intended for use by a single person. You may activate it on multiple computers that you personally use, but it cannot be shared between multiple users.
Typical use cases
Desktop + Laptop: Use Samplitude on your studio desktop and your travel laptop without needing to deactivate each time.
Home + Office: Work on one system at home and another in your studio or office.
Primary + Backup: Keep a second system ready as a backup machine in case your primary workstation is unavailable.
What’s not allowed
Sharing your license with another person (e.g., a colleague, friend, or family member).
Using two licenses simultaneously on two workstations.
How to manage activations
If you need to move your license to a new computer, you can simply deactivate your current activation and reactivate on the new system via the Boris FX Hub.
Customers who previously purchased and only received one activation
If you purchased Samplitude or Music Studio from borisfx.com and only received a single activation, don't worry. We will be adjusting your activation key remotely to license 2 workstations and will notify you via email when this is ready.
