Try these troubleshooting steps in order:
- Reset the software to factory settings via Help > Reset to Factory Defaults. This resolves most configuration-related crashes.
- Switch the audio driver from ASIO to WDM (or vice versa) in the audio system settings (shortcut 'Y').
- Check if the crash occurs with an empty project. If yes, it's likely a driver or system issue. If not, the crash might be project specific
- Disable all third-party VST plugins temporarily, then re-enable them one by one to identify the culprit.
- Ensure your audio and graphics driver and Windows are up to date.
