As of Sapphire 2019.5, there is support for third party broadcast monitors via a Blackmagic or AJA card for the Effect and Transition Builder (S_Effect and S_Transition) and the Flare Designer. To enable the output of these applications to your broadcast monitor, please follow the instructions below per host.
Adobe After Effects:
In After Effects settings, enable Mercury Transmit and select your video card.
In Builder settings, under “View”, select “Reference Monitor” and choose appropriate frame size and frame rate as per your project.
In Flare Designer settings, under “View”, select “Reference Monitor” and choose appropriate frame size and frame rate as per your project.
Adobe Premiere Pro:
In Premiere Pro settings, enable Mercury Transmit, make sure no video card is selected and select “Disable video output when in background”
In Builder settings, under “View”, select “Reference Monitor” and choose appropriate frame size and frame rate as per your project.
In Flare Designer settings, under “View”, select “Reference Monitor” and choose appropriate frame size and frame rate as per your project.
Avid Media Composer
In Media Composer, make sure the HW/SW button is deselected and hardware is “inactive”
In Builder settings, under “View”, select “Reference Monitor” and choose appropriate frame size and frame rate as per your project.
In Flare Designer settings, under “View”, select “Reference Monitor” and choose appropriate frame size and frame rate as per your project.
Blackmagic Resolve
In Resolve, under System settings / Video and Audio I/O, make sure “For Capture and Playback Use” - none is selected and “For Resolve Live Use” - none is selected
In Builder settings, under “View”, select “Reference Monitor” and choose appropriate frame size and frame rate as per your project.
In Flare Designer settings, under “View”, select “Reference Monitor” and choose appropriate frame size and frame rate as per your project.
Nuke by the Foundry
In Nuke, under Properties, make sure “Input Process” is set to “Viewer Input” and “Input Process Order” is set to “Before Viewer Process
In Flare Designer settings, under “View”, select “Reference Monitor” and choose appropriate frame size and frame rate as per your project.
Autodesk Flame Family
In Flame, under Preferences/Broadcast Monitor, make sure Broadcast Monitor is set to “Off”.
In Builder settings, under “View”, select “Reference Monitor” and choose appropriate frame size and frame rate as per your project.
In Flare Designer settings, under “View”, select “Reference Monitor” and choose appropriate frame size and frame rate as per your project.
