What happens to the missing VITA instruments from my old Magix Samplitude version?
With the new Samplitude / Music Studio 2025 (Boris FX), not all VITA instruments from previous MAGIX versions were carried over due to licensing reasons.
They are not included in the current installer and therefore cannot be installed directly via Samplitude 2025.
What are your options?
Installation via older MAGIX versions (Samplitude Pro X6 or later)
If you still have an older MAGIX version (e.g. Pro X8 or X7), you can install the missing instruments through that version and then use them in Samplitude 2025.
Manual transfer
You can manually transfer the instruments and install them from the separate installers on a new system.
Open the MAGIX Download Manager in your old Magix Samplitude Pro X version via:
Program > Help > Download Instruments & SoundDownload and install your missing instrument
If the instrument is not listed, the installer is already downloaded
You can find the installation files, for example, here:
C:\Users\[YourName]\Documents\MAGIX Downloads\InstallationsmanagerTransfer these files via USB stick or network to the new PC.
Important:
Instruments purchased separately in the MAGIX Shop can no longer be activated in Samplitude 2025 (Boris FX), as the new licensing system is incompatible with the old one.
