Error code -6 normally appears because the installation has become corrupted or during the install process a background task has interfered.
- Uninstall the software.
- Delete the file "installation.ini".
- You will find the file "installation.ini" under C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Programname]\installation.ini
If you do not see the "ProgramData" folder or the "Application data" folder, you must activate the "Show hidden folders" function.
- Go to "Folder Options" in the Control Panel.
- Under "View", set the option "Show all files and folders" for "Hidden files and folders".
If you don't see the ".ini" file extension, you have to show known file extensions.
Windows hides these by default.
- Under "View" you will also find the option "Hide extensions for known file types".
- Deactivate this function to display all file extensions, then install the Software again.
