What should I do if "Error code -14" appears when activating the program?

You have just successfully installed your software and still receive the message "Error code -14" during software registration.

Error code 14 indicates that the serial number entered does not match the program or the program version.

To solve your problem, first check whether you have entered the serial number correctly.
If you have purchased several programs at the same time, please check whether you have used the serial number that matches the program.


Error 14 occurs when a serial for a different product is entered.  For instance if you enter the Sound Forge serial to activate Vegas you will receive error 14.    This can also occur if you attempt to activate a region locked version.  Example:  Activating the US version of Sound Forge with a KR localized serial number would also result in error 14.
