How can installation errors with Steam versions be resolved?

The error messages "File xxx missing", "Missing Executable Error", "Error code -59" and "Error 2" can occur when installing a Steam version. 
To solve the problem, please carry out the following steps:

  1. First carry out the standard uninstallation of the software via the Steam browser.
  2. Then uninstall the software via the Windows Control Panel.

Uninstall the software via the control panel:

  1. Click on the "Windows + I" key combination to call up the Control Panel
  2. Click on "App"-->"App and features".
  3. Right-click on the software and select "Uninstall".
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Open the Steam library and select your application.
  6. Click on "Install".
  7. After successfully downloading the program, click on "Start".

If the problem persists, carry out the following steps:

  1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\Software-Name and execute the corresponding exe file.
  2. Go to C:\Program Files\VEGAS\Software Name\ and select each individual file and folder.
  3. Now click with the right mouse button and select "Copy".
  4. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Software Name\Software Name\ to paste the copied files.
  5. Then start your application.
