The error messages "File xxx missing", "Missing Executable Error", "Error code -59" and "Error 2" can occur when installing a Steam version.
To solve the problem, please carry out the following steps:
- First carry out the standard uninstallation of the software via the Steam browser.
- Then uninstall the software via the Windows Control Panel.
Uninstall the software via the control panel:
- Click on the "Windows + I" key combination to call up the Control Panel
- Click on "App"-->"App and features".
- Right-click on the software and select "Uninstall".
- Restart your computer.
- Open the Steam library and select your application.
- Click on "Install".
- After successfully downloading the program, click on "Start".
If the problem persists, carry out the following steps:
- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\Software-Name and execute the corresponding exe file.
- Go to C:\Program Files\VEGAS\Software Name\ and select each individual file and folder.
- Now click with the right mouse button and select "Copy".
- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Software Name\Software Name\ to paste the copied files.
- Then start your application.
