Does My Perpetual Samplitude License Renew Automatically?
When you purchase a perpetual license for Samplitude or Sequoia, the software license itself does not expire. You can continue using the version covered by your license even if your Upgrade & Support Plan ends.
What renews automatically?
Every new perpetual license and perpetual upgrade includes 12 months of Upgrade & Support. This plan gives you access to product updates and new versions released during the active coverage period, as well as support.
Unless automatic renewal is disabled, the Upgrade & Support Plan renews annually. This does not convert your perpetual Samplitude license into a subscription and does not affect your right to continue using the software version you already own.
How can I disable automatic renewal?
- Sign in to your Boris FX account.
- Open the Licenses section.
- Select your Samplitude license.
- Choose the option to disable or cancel automatic renewal.
Disabling automatic renewal prevents the next Upgrade & Support charge. It does not deactivate your perpetual license.
What happens when Upgrade & Support expires?
Your existing perpetual Samplitude license continues to work. However, you will no longer receive new versions or upgrades released after your Upgrade & Support end date.
If you decide to renew after the plan has expired, reinstatement pricing may apply.
Will I receive a reminder before the renewal?
Yes. Boris FX sends an email notification before an annual automatic renewal. Please make sure the email address associated with your Boris FX account is current and check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive the message.
What if I purchased a subscription instead?
Subscriptions and perpetual licenses work differently. A subscription requires an active plan to continue using the software, while a perpetual license remains usable after Upgrade & Support expires.
