Optics may display watermarks on Sapphire effects (labeled “S_”) even when Optics is licensed. This occurs when Optics is activated through the Boris FX Hub instead of directly inside Optics.
Cause of Sapphire watermarking in Optics
Optics licensing via Boris FX Hub may not fully activate the embedded Sapphire effects.
This results in:
Sapphire effects showing watermarks
Effects labeled with “S_” not being fully licensed
Optics appearing licensed, but Sapphire components not activated correctly
How to fix Sapphire watermarking in Optics
Optics users can resolve this issue by reactivating the license directly داخل Optics.
Steps:
Open the Boris FX Hub
Select Optics as the product
Click the three dots (•••) menu
Select Deactivate to reset the license
Launch Optics
Enter your license key directly in Optics when prompted
Result after reactivating Optics
After activating Optics directly:
Sapphire effects will no longer be watermarked
All Optics features, including Sapphire filters, will be fully enabled
This ensures proper licensing of both Optics and its integrated Sapphire effects.
