Sound Forge does not launch after activating.

To resolve this issue without running the program as an administrator, please try the following:

Close the program if it is running.

The next step will require you to make changes in the Windows Registry.

1. To open the registry editor, type REGEDIT into the Windows search field and press Enter.
2. In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following registry file by clicking on each item in the order they are displayed.
HKEY_USERS > [user SID]_Classes > VirtualStore > MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Sony Creative Software > Sound Forge [Pro or Audio Studio] > [Version Number]
NOTE: The [user SID] listed above is a variable that will be different for each account on a computer. It will most often begin with S-1-5-21-.
3. Right click on the version number folder ONLY and select Delete. If prompted, confirm you wish to delete the folder.
4. Once the folder has been deleted, close the Registry Editor.
5. Launch the program again. It should run normally, even when not run as an administrator.
