How do I uninstall Sapphire from my current machine?

To uninstall:

- On Windows 10/11, go to "Start" and search for "Add or remove programs". Locate the Boris FX Sapphire plug-ins you wish to uninstall, click on the three dots, and select "Uninstall".

- On macOS, go to /Applications/BorisFXSapphire Plug-ins folder and double click on "Uninstall Sapphire".

- On Linux Red Hat/CentOS or similar, open a shell window, type su to become root, and run the following command:

rpm -e "SapphireOFX package"

Replace the "SapphireOFX package" with your Sapphire package. For instance, if you had Sapphire 2025.5 for OFX installed, it would look like this:

  (e.g., rpm -e SapphireOFX-2025.510-1.0.x86_64)

- On Linux Ubuntu, open a shell window, type su to become root, and run the following command:

dpkg --purge sapphireofx

  (e.g., dpkg --purge SapphireOFX-2025.510-1.0.x86_64)

Note to Linux users:

To figure out the exact Sapphire version you currently have installed on Linux, run this command:

rpm -qa|grep -i sapphire

Remember to opt to "Deactivate" your license to free it up for use on another system.

Additional Notes:

An Internet connection is required to successfully deactivate your license.

If your machine does not have an Internet connection, you will need to choose the option to "deactivate your license manually using another computer's web browser".
